Dr. David Haustein

Dr. David Haustein is a physician executive who provides consulting services in the academic, administration, and medical-legal sectors. With both a medical degree (MD) and masters in business administration (MBA), he offers a unique blend of expertise to help organizations navigate complex challenges and achieve their goals.


Dr. Haustein cares for patients requiring neurological, orthopedic, or musculoskeletal rehabilitation and has a special interest in electrodiagnostic testing and nerve and muscle disorders. He is also passionate about medical education, healthcare administration, and clinical informatics. He has served on numerous local and national committees and editorial boards, regularly presents at local, regional, and national conferences, and contributes as a question reviewer and writer, as well as an oral examiner for national board examinations.


Dr. Haustein serves as a physician administrator with the University of MIssouri-Columbia School of Medicine. He is board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) with an additional subspecialty certification in neuromuscular medicine. He is also certified by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Haustein earned his medical degree and completed his residency training at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
